I sat beside you at church today.

Last night, I was whining to my brother about my life. A total ridiculous rant and pity party for myself. I was crying how I'm uneducated. I am inadequate as a mother. We should have made better financial choices the past 25 years. I just want to be able to pay for my kids college. I want a vacation. I feel so broke. blah blah blah. And all I wanted from him was affirmation that he thought I was stupid and made dumb choices, too .

Instead, he interrupted my meltdown with this life altering comment.

"DID YOU NOT LISTEN TO THE SERMON TODAY?"

Now he sounds just like his mother.
